Two to a Blanket, Feet to the Fire

.

From a bustling homosocial winter homestead in Eastern Ontario during the tail end of the 19th-century timber industry boom to a contemporary Queer Pagan community. This piece weaves material from the Archives of Ontario and the National Archives of Canada with footage of a May Day gathering of faeries who find platonic intimacy, kinship and jouissance on the same plot of land, centuries apart.
